Season 3 Teaser Promo A Southern Girl’s View with Sandy Adams

October 5, 2020

Hello everyone

I’m Sandy Adams, the host of the podcast A Southern Girl’s View.

Growing up in the south, the best part of the summer was the late nights sitting outside on the front porch listening to my mom and my aunts laugh and tell stories about their childhood. Those were some of the best evenings when life was simple and the only thing to focus on was catching fireflies at dusk.

Those conversations and that summer feeling was pretty much my inspiration for this podcast.

I’m thrilled to announce Season 3 of A Southern Girl’s View podcast.  I set the bar high last season with a wide variety of guests and subjects ranging from military experts in nuclear energy to conversations with my cousin sam about California living and baseball.

This new season will be even more exciting with a wide range of interesting people from all parts of the country and around the world.  From Memphis State Handball to the Republic of Liberia, from the small towns of West Tennessee to the outposts of the British Government.

So friends, sit A SPELL, fix yourself a glass of ICED TEA AND LISTEN IN ON SOME THOUGHTFUL, AND AT TIMES FUNNY, CONVERSATIONS.

Season 3 of kicks off with my first guest and former mentor Dr. George Kieh, politician, author, political scientist and former presidential candidate for the The Republic of Liberia.

So mark your calendars, Season 3 premiers Wed Oct 7, 2020

You can listen and subscribe at asoutherngirlsview.com/podcast  and on apple podcasts, spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts.

Remember  Season 3 premiers this Wed October 7

Antonio Anderson Memphis Tiger Basketball Hall of Famer

Antonio Anderson Memphis Tiger Basketball Hall of Famer

March 26, 2020

Today on the show I am catching up with former University of Memphis Tiger basketball Hall of Famer, Antonio Anderson.   We talk about growing up in Lynn Massachusetts, the thrill of basketball, coaching in his hometown and his love affair with the city of Memphis. And yes, we even chat about THAT game.  You know the one… on April 7, 2008.

During his playing career at Memphis, he helped lead the Tigers to a combined four-year record of 137 wins to 14 losses.  Anderson, along with 2 other Memphis seniors, Robert Dozier and Chance McGrady, finished his career at Memphis with the most wins as a player in NCAA men’s basketball history.

A 6ft 6 guard who took incredible pride in his defense, he graduated from the University of Memphis in 2009.  And today coaches a state-winning high school basketball in his hometown of Lynn, Massachusetts.

Friends, thank you for joining me and Antonio today.  We both so appreciate you taking the time out to catch up with him.  I believe that I can speak on behalf of all Tiger fans across the globe in saying that we will be rooting for you, Antonio, in a career that we are sure will continue to amaze us.
